WHO WE WORK WITH
We work with startups making their first data hire and scaleups growing a data team.
Early on, the right first hire depends on where your data is: whether it exists, whether it's usable, or whether it's ready for modelling. As you scale, the challenge shifts to making data reliable enough for the business to act on, and to finding leaders who can build the team around it.
Either way, we start by understanding what you're building and what you need your data to do, not just the role in front of us.

OUR PROCESS
01
TODAY.
Getting to know each other.
We ask why the role exists, what problem the hire solves and what good looks like in six months.
02
24-48 HOURS.
What does good look like?
We'll share example profiles to gather comprehensive live feedback about what you like/dislike about each.
03
48-72 HOURS.
Search officially starts.
We longlist and assess candidates against your brief, beyond what's on their CV.
04
END OF WEEK 1.
Candidates introductions.
Your first hand-picked shortlist lands, with our notes on every candidate.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN EVERY DATA HIRE
Technical depth - Their experience against your data stack and the problems you're solving.
Business sense - Can they turn data into answers the rest of the business acts on?
Working with real data - Have they built something useful from messy, incomplete data, not just clean datasets?
Fit with your stage - Do they want the pace of a startup or scaleup, or just like the idea of it?

FAQS
How long does it take to hire a data engineer?
Your first shortlist lands by the end of week one. Our average time to fill is 36 days, so we'd expect to have secured your hire, or have them in the final stages, by around week five. Head of data and other leadership roles can take longer.
Can you help us work out which data role we need?
Yes. Many founders know they need a data hire but not which one. We start by understanding what you need your data to do, then recommend whether a data engineer, analyst or data scientist fits best before the search starts.
Do you recruit business intelligence specialists?
Yes. As well as data engineers, data scientists and analysts, we recruit BI specialists who build the reporting and dashboards your teams use day to day.
Do you recruit heads of data?
Yes. We recruit data leaders from lead level up to head of data, director and VP, for startups building their first data function and scaleups growing one.
What do data professionals earn in the UAE?
Mid-level data professionals in the UAE earn a median monthly salary of AED 27,250, according to the Nameless Ventures 2026 Salary Survey, which covers data engineers, data scientists, analysts and BI specialists. That excludes bonuses, stock options and wider financial benefits. See the full survey for every level.
